At our Kids Ministry, we believe in nurturing the faith of every child. We create a vibrant and engaging environment where they can learn about God’s love through fun activities, meaningful lessons, and lasting friendships. It’s a place where families can grow together in faith and joy.
Sundays By Age Group
0 - 2 YEARS
Parkway Kids is not childcare; it is discipleship. We believe the gospel shapes our kids from the very beginning, and that God can work in any person’s heart regardless of age. In our Nursery classroom, leaders spend the morning praying over your infants and singing gospel truths, trusting the Lord to use even these early moments to form faith. As your kids grow closer to preschool age, leaders begin gently introducing gospel truths at their level, helping them take their first steps in discipleship.
PRESCHOOL & KINDER
When your child turns 3, they move into our Preschool room, where they experience large group worship built around gospel truths. Kids learn in community as they play, sing, and build friendships with one another. Through simple, small-group questions, we help them begin to understand the good news of Jesus and what it means to belong to God’s family.
1 - 3 GRADE
The Bible is God’s true Word. As kids enter elementary school, they begin learning to read and understand on their own. Parkway Kids ministry grows alongside them as they grow in discipleship. Our leaders help kids engage with God’s Word, ask questions, and discover that the Bible is for them as they learn what it means to follow Jesus with growing confidence.
4 - 6 GRADE
As kids enter 4th, 5th, and 6th grades, we want to give them space to build deeper relationships and engage Scripture more intentionally. While the Biblical truths we teach remain the same, the classroom structure shifts to invite more discussion, interaction, and application. Kids are encouraged to apply God’s Word to their everyday lives as they prepare to follow Jesus with increasing independence and a growing sense of mission.
Wednesdays
Children in Action
Children in Action (CA) is a coed group designed for boys and girls in grades 1-6 to come to faith in Christ as Savior while making missions an important part of their daily lives.
Wednesday nights are a fun mix of games, crafts, Bible stories, and missionary stories. Through CIA, children learn what it means to live a missional lifestyle. They also have a lot of fun as they “travel” to various places around the world while learning about and praying for the work of missionaries.
Free food at 5:30 and then CIA from 6 to 7 PM. Please join us!

We also have many events throughout the year to build community. A few examples are VBS, summer camp, Fall Festival, game nights, roller skating, holiday parties, and on and on…

When your kids are at Parkway Baptist Church, we prioritize providing a safe environment where they can learn about Jesus. We have security measures, onboarding processes, and training for all the leaders who serve in our ministry.
Parkway Buddies is a program we offer to pair your child up with a specific volunteer who can play with them in their age-appropriate classroom or spend one-on-one time with them in our dedicated room. To learn more, reach out to us.
